  2. setting the industry pace for technological revolution and improvements;
  3. sharpening the critical, systemic and creative thinking skills of your staff as well asenhancing their intuitive abilities;

These six courses can be taken independently or serially over time. They are meant to cover the most important facets of corporate entrepreneurship. 19 students from the Pepsi Cola Products Philippines, Inc. attended the pilot run which started in November 2012.

Basic Education Entrepreneurship (High School Entrepreneurship)

The High School Entrepreneurship Program is grounded on the idea of heightening the self worth and entrepreneurial readiness of high school students. It aims to bring out the entrepreneurial spirit in each and every student. As a result, the entrepreneurship program has been integrated in three high schools, most notably at the Elizabeth Seton School (ESS) where Bayan Academy has guided the teachers in developing new learning materials and redesigning the high school curriculum. One highlight of this new curriculum is its focus on the practical application of business and technical skills. In exchange for the Academy’s services, ESS agreed to share the completed technology and materials with other schools. Bayan was able to train 71 teachers of Elizabeth Seton School (ESS) on GEM for free in the summer of 2008. Entrepreneurship is now integrated across levels and across subjects at ESS. Teachers were able to integrate in their lesson plans through entrepreneurship examples, lessons, insights, etc. Other schools who attended the GEM have been integrating the technology into their high school curricula, to include Ateneo de Naga High School , Quezon City Academy, and Notre Dame of Greater Manila.

Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship

Following a similar scheme, Bayan Academy partnered with the Assumption College in Makati for its BS Entrepreneurship Program which builds on various courses that would prepare the students to become entrepreneurs. It is designed to develop students with lifetime skills to become business leaders and industry innovators. Other schools who have been attended the FCBP are also adopting the BS Entrepreneurship technology into their own entrepreneurship courses: Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod (CSA-B), Quezon City Polytechnic University, University of Assumption and Philippine Women’s University Masters in Business Administration Major in Entrepreneurship and Microfinance (MBA-MEM). The MBA-MEM was first developed in partnership with the University of Makati, which in turn is sharing the program with other educational institutions like Central Philippine University in Iloilo and Philippine Christian University in Manila. A one-year program held over 90 days, the MBA-MEM program is designed for entrepreneurs and managers of development institutions. UMAK has already reached 71 students through the MBA-MEM. Other schools that implemented the program were Central Philippine University and Philippine Christian University.

FCBP (Faculty Capability Building Program)

In order to roll out the programs to Bayan Academy’s other partner schools and interested academic institutions; the Faculty Capability Building Program (FCBP) was designed to prepare faculty members who shall be teaching the courses.

Teachers and professors of these courses are the target participants of BASE-HRD’s Learning Methodologies and Materials Development (LMMD) and Teaching Entrepreneurship and Management (TEM) modules under the FCBP.

Anchored on the principle of Whole Brain Learning System (WBLS), the FCBP is designed for the educators that would bring forth a deeper understanding on the mega and lifelong learning skills needed by everyone to become successful in life. Educators play a vital role in molding the minds of the entrepreneurs; hence, they must be equipped with methodologies that would bring out the best in them and further their respective organizations or enterprises.

A distinctive feature of the FCBP is the application of the WBLS philosophy in teaching entrepreneurship and management. The first in the country to revolutionize the teaching of entrepreneurship and management, the program would demonstrate how various topics in entrepreneurship and management could be taught in a student-centered approach specifically
adhering to students’ or practitioners’ learning preferences.
