What is best?
Bayan Educational Systems and Technologies (BEST) focuses on designing and developing educational programs and courses for academic institutions, corporate universities, private companies and social development organizations. This includes the design of degree and non-degree courses, the development of learning materials, the enhancement of teaching methodologies, capacity building for faculty, and the mentored installation of educational programs.
Bayan Academy’s training programs blend scholarly research on the most relevant management philosophies and processes and actual insights and learnings from reputable management practitioners and organizations in the Philippines and the world. Transcending the latest management training fads, Bayan Academy integrates academic rigor and real-world experience in designing learning programs that equip the learners and participants with immediately applicable knowledge, attitudes and skills.
Experiential and Empathetic Learning Methods
Bayan Academy’s unique approach to learning is through the Whole Brain Learning System (WBLS). WBLS explores the myriad facets of the thinking brain – how it is configured, how it learns and how it grows. WBLS is anchored on the scientific studies of Drs. Roger Sperry, Paul Mclean, Ned Hermann and Howard Gardner and revisits the theories of Carl Jung and the adaptations of Drs. Myers and Briggs. This approach ensures that Bayan Academy’s training programs respond to the various ways people learn, think and perform. As such, each Bayan Academy program offers a mix of engaging learning experiences.
BEST specializes on providing assistance in designing and developing educational programs and courses. This includes the design of degree and non-degree courses, the development of learning materials, the enhancement of teaching methodologies, the capacity building of faculty and the mentored installation of educational programs.
The Knowledge Resource Center is built on a Knowledge Management System that seeks to build intellectual capital based on one's own and others’ best practices. This involves capacitating the different programs of Bayan Academy to document their initiatives and community interventions using tools and techniques on learning before doing, learning while doing and learning after doing. The documentation is then translated into professional learning materials, manuals, books and white papers (Knowledge Distillation).
The KRC goes beyond this and actively sources knowledge from other institutions (Knowledge Sourcing). It creates its own thought pieces, policy and strategy papers, issues monographs and topical dissertations (Knowledge Creation). Finally, the KRC shares with all programs and institutions committed to serve others, its intellectual property through its publications and educational or training programs (Knowledge Dissemination).
