In 2017, Save the Children commissioned Bayan Academy in conducting the Situation Analysis in Caloocan and its nearby areas. Based on the result, adolescents cited education as their most challenging social need. Given this hurdle, their willingness to finish their studies was very high as they realized that finishing school will result to getting a good job and decent income.

With its new partnership with Save the Children, Bayan Academy will be able to serve the needs of children particularly the marginalized and adolescent boys and girls in the city of Caloocan on self-mastery or life skills and technopreneurship skills for them to be responsible individuals. Aside from the training, the collaboration will also include mentoring sessions. The youth aged 18, former graduates of SDCI sponsorship programs, out-of-school youth, teen mothers/fathers and caregivers/parents will undergo the tech-based training on Cookery, Bread and Pastry Production and Contact Center. The mentoring sessions for the youth will focus on strengthening their pre-employment skills to be able to land a job related to their course. For teen mothers/fathers and caregivers, they will be guided on how to actually start their own home-based enterprises.
