The BPI Sinag Accelerate is an annual search for social entrepreneurs whose enterprises are ready to scale-up and expand, while deepening their impact in community development. The program enables BPI Foundation to reach a wider network of social entrepreneurs whose enterprises focus on new business models that address social and environmental problems, particularly in agribusiness, education, health, energy, technology, and other marginalized sectors across the archipelago. This year, the program shall again have the mentoring and case study development components. In addition, it will have a publication that will be launched for its 5th year anniversary.
The mentoring component aims to deliver the following objectives:
- To ensure that the grants awarded to the program’s 2018 winners are used for the implementation of their winning social enterprise plans; and
- To accelerate the performance of its 2018 winners through an effective implementation of their social enterprise plans.
On the other hand, the case studies to be developed and the book to be published have the following objectives:
- To learn from the program’s past winners who can be deemed as best practices in market, social, and technological innovations, and
- To document the lessons through a publication with case studies and integrative texts that will be part of BPI Sinag’s original knowledge capital.
