Background
Bayan Academy and Facebook Philippines have been implementing the National Digital Marketing Campaign since 2017. It aims to educate entrepreneurs all over the Philippines on digital literacy and value of online marketing in growing their enterprises online.
In 2018, the project focused on expanding and deepening the program through #SheMeansBusiness workshop for women entrepreneurs, #GoGlobal for Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) registered MSMEs and #BoostYourBusiness for DTI and Bayan Academy partners’ MSME beneficiaries. Around 3,000 entrepreneurs were trained from 23 regions in the Philippines.
This year, Bayan will continue the implementation of the campaign expanding its reach in the countryside and other areas with high concentration of MSMEs. This is to contribute to the country’s goal of countryside development and Facebook’s goal to provide digital literacy assistance to MSMEs.
