Zuellig Family Foundation (ZFF) has partnered with Bayan Academy in the enhancement of its Knowledge Resource Management System.

Comprised of two phases, the partnership involves providing technical assistance to ZFF on the development of knowledge products, and building the necessary competencies needed by ZFF to respond to the organization’s Knowledge Management policy.

Phase 1 of the partnership commenced last July 28-29, 2018 with a workshop entitled, “Training on Understanding, Analyzing and Writing Case Studies: Abstracting Theories from Best Practices”.

Helmed by Dr. Eduardo A. Morato, Jr., Chairman and President of Bayan Academy, and Dr. Norma Lange-Tagaza, Bayan Academy consultant, the two-day training workshop equipped eighteen (18) participants, mostly Provincial Account Officers under the PLGP of Zuellig Family Foundation with practical knowledge and skills on critical analysis and knowledge harvesting and distillation.

The training enabled the PLGP team to develop and enhance case studies that capture the processes and learnings from implementing the program in twelve (12) different provinces. The provincial case studies include those from Bataan, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Northern Samar, Samar, Aklan, Cebu, Siquijor, Agusan del Sur, Compostela Valley, South Cotabato, and Zamboanga Sibugay.

These case studies will eventually be abstracted into theoretical texts which can serve ZFF and its constituencies as leadership and management guidelines for achieving greater efficiency, economy and effectiveness in their operations.

The second round of case study writing workshop was held on August 15-16, 2018 with nine (9) Account Officers under the Health Leadership and Governance Program.

A Workshop on Knowledge Integration with the PLGP was held on August 17, 2018, aiming to synthesize the findings from the workshops and presentations and produce the beginnings of a theory or framework on health leadership that captures the essence of PLGP as a whole.

The final output of phase 1, the completion report, shall be the centerpiece of the ZFF Colloquium on September 2018.
