Posted on October 14, 2015 In extreme situations of poverty, hope shines brightest in real-life examples of individuals who remain positive and persevere despite challenging odds. The stories of 3 individuals, who persevered despite the challenges and the odds, were able to earn decent living and uplift their lives and that of their family’s – thanks to the JPMC Entrepreneurship Education for Community Development (JPMC EECD), a program of JPMorgan Chase Co. through the JPMorgan Chase Foundation and Bayan Academy for Social Entrepreneurship and Human Resources Development (Bayan Academy).
Posted on October 05, 2015 On August 10, 2015, Bayan Academy’s Technical and Livelihood Center conducted a 26-day Technopreneurship course about Beauty Care NCII in Mandaue City, Cebu. This TESDA-accredited workshop trained the disengaged youth and adults on a wide array of beauty care services such as manicure and pedicure, hand spa, facial treatment, foot spa and facial make-up application. A total of thirty (30) graduates, equipped with the necessary skills, passed the competency assessment of TESDA Region VII.
